Chicken Marsala Florentine Recipe

This is a gorgeous dish that has a unique Italian flavor. It looks gorgeous and tastes even more fantastic with all those vegetables cooked in Marsala wine. It is a great recipe that has lots of flavor coming from different vegetables. It is very simple to cook this delicious recipe. Here is the simple recipe.


4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

All-purpose flour – 1/4 cup

A pinch of salt and pepper

Dried oregano – 1 tablespoon

Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

Butter – 3/4 cup

Sliced Portobello mushrooms -3 cups

Sun-dried tomatoes – 3/4 cup

Packed fresh spinach – 1/2 cup

Marsala wine – 1 cup


Take two pieces of wax paper, put chicken breasts in between them, and with a meat mallet, slice them in to 1/4 inch thickness. Sprinkle over the chicken pieces some pepper, flour, salt and oregano.

Take a deep frying pan, fry coated chicken breast pieces in olive oil on medium heat. Cook until the pieces are properly done, turn it over to cook uniformly. Keep the pieces aside, and keep them warm.

Take the same pan and melt some butter on medium heat; add vegetables like sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and Marsala wine in that mixture. Cook the entire mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring the mixture occasionally. Add some spinach and cook for around 2 minutes. Serve these vegetables over the fried chicken breasts.

Serve it with garlic-mashed potato and enjoy a sumptuous meal with your family and friend. You can add heavy cream and some garlic to lend it a different taste. It is very flavorful and you will get at your home what you might get at some famous restaurants. You can decrease the amount of butter to make it healthy.
